More Dribble from the Pen of Wolf: December, the tenth month of the Roman Calendar. Pope Gregory corrected it to 365 days in a year, and augmented February to round off the errors. Very savvy, since the church was burning people at the sake for such astronomic heresy in other quarters. But, Constantine, who organized the Catholic Church, was very Roman. Hmm, maybe Gregory understood the importance of Church and State. So, is December 31 the end of year or March 31? These are questions that authors ponder.
